All the great flavors in one tasty bite. I invite you to try these easy, quick candies that require only microwave melting and candy chopping in a delectable bet-you-can’t-eat-just-one crunch!
Peanut Butter Caramel Pretzel Bites
- Square shaped pretzels
- Mini peanut butter cups
- Rolo candies
- Melting chocolate discs (I used Ghiradelli -Buy Here)
- Peanut butter chips, melted (optional-for decoration)
If you buy new bags of the ingredients, you will have enough to make dozens. I made a smaller batch so this is how I did it.
Cut 4 Rolos and 4 peanut butter cups in half horizontally.
Place 8 pretzel squares onto a microwavable plate. On top of the pretzels, place one halved peanut butter cup and one halved Rolo. Microwave until the chocolate begins to soften (it will look shiny). Do NOT melt the chocolate, soften it. Take out of microwave oven. Immediately place another pretzel square on top and gently press down.
You may wait 15 or so minutes until your gooey pretzels are set a little or if you are impatient (like I was), go ahead and start dipping the entire thing in chocolate.
Now comes the fun part! Melt a couple of handfuls of chocolate discs in a microwavable cup. Mine took about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Ready to dip your pretzel creations? Here we go!
Take a small fork and dip the pretzel until it’s entirely covered. Take out and place on wax paper-covered pan or tray. Let the chocolate harden. To decorate with peanut butter swishes: Place a handful of peanut butter chips in a small microwavable bowl. Melt in microwave, checking constantly. When melted, take out of microwave oven and stir. Spoon into a small zipper type plastic bag. Cut a small hole in one of the bottom corners of the bag. Squeeze the bag until the melted chips flow out the opening. Make zig zags across the candy tops. Done! Enjoy these tasty, crunchy morsels!
