I heard someone at the grocery store complaining about fall flavors and how they get tired of it. We are less than a month into fall and I am definitely NOT tired of it. I’m pretty sure I will not be tired of it next month either. How about you? Are you ready for some apple crisp? All the deliciousness of apple pie without all the trouble. I’m getting hungry. Let’s get started!
Apple Crisp (recipe by ideastimestwo)
- 5 cups tart apples, sliced ( about 5 or 6 apples)
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 TBL. flour
Stir dry ingredients together in a small bowl. Place apple slices in a large bowl and add dry ingredient mixture. Toss until apples are coated. Dump into a 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan.
- 1 C. softened butter
- 1 C. flour
- 1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 C. oatmeal (regular or quick-cooking)
Mix ingredients together. Mixture will be lumpy. Dollop evenly over the top of apples.
Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Insert a fork into center to ensure apples are tender.
