INGREDIENTS FOR HONEY BARBECUE SAUCE: (recipe by ideastimestwo.com)

Makes 1 quart

  • 1 C. Ketchup
  • 1/4 C. Tomato Sauce
  • 3/4 C. Honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 TBL. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. Ground Red Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp. Liquid Smoke
  • Container that holds 1 quart
  • Simple tag or decorations if using for a gift

DIRECTIONS:

Dump everything into a medium-sized saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Pour into a 1 quart canning jar or container of your choice. Decorate jar. I wrapped mine with a strip of burlap and paper. I punched out an oval shape with a paper punch and hand printed the label. Tie twine around the jar top. Done! Who’s ready for a big, fat burger?
